An inside look

We were really astonished at how sturdy these were built.  Then it occurred to us that there is really a practical reason to have the bridges covered - this was after all Vermont.  It was the early form of keeping bridges clear of snow and ice not to mention keeping the horses and buggies on the road…who knew…just never thought of it before.
