Pitting cherries

Once the cherries were picked the next task was to pit them.  I convinced Rose to stay and do the work together.  BOY, were we glad we had each other.  We weighed the 'pickings' and found we had 60 pounds of cherries.  It took us 4 hours to remove the pits.

Later that week we made lots of Bing cherry jam.
