Then the boat was hauled and put on land – notice it grew a beard. Our insurance company wanted it ‘on the hard’ in what is called a hurricane cradle. We removed the jib (as it needed to be re-stitched anyway) and trussed up the main. It took us 5 days to prepare the boat for our leave taking.
