The next big project to be done what the installation of the new fridge and freezer cold plates. The old compressor was ½ horsepower and very energy inefficient. We also needed to replace some of the insulation that had gone bad (it was wet). This boat has the biggest fridge/freezer compartments we have ever seen on a sailboat. There are 3 separate compartments, beer to the left, freezer in the middle and fresh fruits/vegetables etc. to the right. There is approximately 19 cubic feet of space. This is about the same size as a normal home fridge. However, since they are ‘chest’ (doors open from the top) they really hold a lot more.
